The plastic industry in Turkey is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country's emerging industries. The annual growth rate of its output is 13.5%, and it enjoys considerable competitive advantages in the global market. The Turkish economy still performs outstandingly, with the construction, manufacturing and retail sectors performing the best. The annual economic growth rate reached 8.5%, ranking second globally only after China. Given that the Central Asian region covers an area of 2.3 million square kilometers, has a population of 350 million, a GDP total of 1.2 trillion US dollars, and a total foreign trade value of 700 billion US dollars, the average economic growth rate in recent years has been nearly 10%.
